Recieved a young sapodilla tree from here in a 15g pot for $90 (paid via Zelle?) and later discovered the soil was FULL OF TRASH❗️ 🚮 There were tons of pieces of styrofoam/polystyrene (not perlite, which there was also) and shredded plastic of various sizes and type. When planting into the ground, to our dismay, there was rubbish all throughout the pot... so we had to wash off all the contaminated soil and plant it bareroot. 🙄 Absolutely disgusting they grow their plants with toxic plastic mixed in! They probably get free compost from the city dumps or God knows. The soil was also full of artificial fertilizer pellets which likely contain plastic polymers. I contacted them and they offered a replacement - but, whats the point of that if their other plants are grown the same way. 😅 It was too much for me to drive back and deal with that, and I'd set a time to get this job done. Was a little in touch by text with them, they didn't offer any form of refund or discount for the crappy soil condition they sold it in or the trouble to remove it, just the message: "Good luck with the bare root." Also, the tree's root system was actually quite small, a 3-5 gallon pot would have been more

I stop by Magnolia Gardens Nursery from time to time when I’m looking for fruit trees to grow at home. I also come here occasionally for Vietnamese vegetable plants like squash, bitter melon, and other garden varieties. The prices for the regular vegetable plants seem pretty reasonable to me. For some of the specialty fruit trees such as sugar apple , pomelo and other fruit varieties, I feel the prices are a little higher compared to some other nurseries I’ve visited. As for the service, it has always felt pretty neutral. Nobody has been rude, but I wouldn’t describe the staff as particularly friendly or welcoming either. Most of the time I come in, buy what I need, and leave. If I have questions about a plant, I usually have to look around for someone to ask, and the answers are often pretty brief.

We bought 5 trees at a discount and after two weeks we received the trees, but the trees were no longer the same as when we ordered. Looking closely, there were many black mushrooms and black worms on the trees... it looked terrible!

I could not have had a worse experience. If you are English speaking only they do not want your business. As soon as I asked them a question they said no speak English and pointed me to leave.
